Most product and marketing leaders learn to tell stories the same way — by doing it badly for long enough that they eventually get better.

A pitch falls flat and they adjust the deck. A campaign underperforms and they rewrite the copy. A demo loses the room and they rethink the flow. Over time, through trial and error, they develop something that works. Mostly.

The problem with this approach isn't that it doesn't work. It's that it's slow, expensive, and almost impossible to teach to anyone else.

What The Story Cohort teaches

The Story Cohort is a cohort-based program on Maven for product and marketing leaders who want to become confident, credible storytellers — not by feel, but by framework.

Over the course of the program, you'll learn how the brain actually processes information and why certain stories create attention while others don't. You'll work through the three dimensions of a compelling product narrative — the logic, the emotion, and the credibility — and learn how to build and balance all three. And you'll apply those frameworks directly to your own product, leaving with a story you can use immediately.

What makes the cohort format different from a course is the group. You're learning alongside product and marketing leaders from other companies, bringing their own products, their own challenges, and their own instincts to the table. The discussion is where a lot of the real learning happens — seeing how the same framework applies differently across contexts, and hearing how other people have solved problems you're wrestling with yourself.

By the end, you'll have the skills and the confidence to tell your product story clearly and consistently — and the vocabulary to teach it to the people around you.
